The Philodendron Scandens originally comes from the tropical rainforests of Central and South America. There are many different types of Philodendrons. Most Philodendrons are climbing plants. In nature they grow with their aerial roots upwards to catch some light.

Philodendrons can be placed in a shady spot, but this houseplant prefers to be in a spot with a lot of indirect light.

The potting soil may remain slightly moist, without a layer of water remaining on the bottom. Water the Philodendron once or twice a week. Pay attention to whether it is summer or winter. In winter the plant needs less water. Spray the plant regularly with a plant sprayer to simulate the tropical humidity.
